English for Academic Purposes

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) placement test is for international and non-native English-speaking students. Scores from the EAP are used to assign the student to EAP courses that best meet their needs and help toward a successful academic career.

EAP Testing Fee

The EAP test has a $52 nonrefundable fee. This fee will be assessed and appear on the student’s bursar bill.

In-Person Testing Sessions

Weekly in-person EAP testing sessions are offered regularly throughout the year at the IU Indianapolis Testing Center. To register for an in-person testing session, complete the following:

Create your IU computing accounts (https://kb.iu.edu/d/achn)
Click the In-Person Testing button below
Login into the IU Indianapolis Testing Center’s RegisterBlast scheduler with your IU username and password.
Follow the instructions to complete your exam registration.
